In attendance: Gerard Tully (CUSU President), Rosie O’Neill (CUSU Welfare and Rights Officer).
In light of the recent referendum vote to change our relationship with CUSU to annual affiliation, the Open Meeting compiled the following list of targets for improvement to inform the 2013 debate on affiliation:
1. Regular website updates
Plans are in place for a structural and content overhaul of the CUSU website.
2. CUSU Council report
Open Meeting, 03/02/2012, 5pm, JP.
Charities Officer
This agenda item was brought by Coryan Wilson-Shah.
The following arguments were made for having a Charities Officer:
• A central point of contact for individuals and groups interested in running charity events in college.
• Facilitates communication and coordination between college events organised by different charities for greater efficiency and fundraising potential.
• Ability to liaise with other colleges and university wide.
